Why would a man (a stranger) telling a person (hetero/bi[sexual]) that they weren't allowed to become a woman (in therapy) force a strangely sexual feeling in response? Why do I feel like an embarrassed little girl? Food for thought indeed. What aspects of patriarchy are in operation here? (The romantic ideology of being cared for by a man I'm sure). It worries me...

Maybe like Howard Kinsey in [the] 50s. the sound of a straight talking authority on sex is in itself sexual? Or related to transference?
