Following completion of my PhD I participated in a Symposium titled,The Documentation of Fine Art Processes and Practices at The Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts, Lancaster University. During this period I worked with the artist and academic Leonor da Silva on developing and implementing Showing: Expectations, a collaborative arts project that was held at Project Space in East Street Arts between September 26 and November 7, 2007. The exhibition was concerned with issues relating to political drives to widen participation in the higher education sector, and sought to critically question people's expectations of art practices by applying differing (to traditionally sanctioned) approaches towards the production and curation of artworks. The project involved the participation of six Leeds-based community groups in an ongoing arts exhibition that was presented over a seven-week period.
